Unicore (Folded Core) - Silicon Steel Folded Core for Low-Frequency Power Transformers, Inductors, and Motors - High Efficiency & Customizable

Unicore (Folded Core) – Precision-folded silicon steel magnetic component for low-frequency transformers, inductors & motors, optimizing magnetic performance and eddy-current loss for efficient power conversion.

Unicore (Folded Core) is a variant of silicon steel laminated cores, constructed by folding insulated silicon steel sheets into a compact geometry. Unlike toroidal cores, its folded-edge structure streamlines winding processes for linear transformers, inductors, and motors. The core utilizes silicon steel with 0.5%–4.5% silicon content and lamination thickness of 0.18–0.5mm, optimized to balance magnetic permeability and eddy-current loss in low-frequency (50–400Hz) power systems.

    Power Transformers

Distribution Transformers: Used in urban grids (10–33kV) for voltage regulation, featuring low noise (<45dB) and compliance with IEC 60076 standards. Industrial Transformers: Supports high-power applications in steel mills and petrochemical plants, offering short-circuit resistance and overload capability.

    Electric Motors & Generators

Induction Motors: Folded cores in stator/rotor assemblies improve energy efficiency (IE4-rated motors achieve >96% efficiency). Alternators: Employed in diesel generators for backup power systems, ensuring stable voltage regulation under sudden load changes.

    Specialized Electrical Equipment

Welding Transformers: High saturation flux density (1.8T) of silicon steel enables compact designs for arc welding machines. Magnetic Separators: Used in mining and recycling to create strong magnetic fields for particle separation via silicon steel’s magnetic properties.
